Hi, I'm Rebecca, and I work on the customer care team here at Aromafume. Every day, I get to hear stories from the people who bring our scents into their lives and every once in a while, a call stays with me long after I've hung up. This is the first in a series where we want to share some of those calls with you, just as they happened.
Our first story is about Tanya, 24, an international student living abroad, far from home.
Tanya called in with a few questions about our range curious about what else we had beyond the She Who Blooms perfume she'd already ordered. But as the conversation went on, it turned into something much more personal. She told me the scent reminded her of Diwali season back home that specific smell that fills the house: gajras, fresh jasmine, tuberose. All the warmth and celebration wrapped into one memory.
She said it felt like a home away from home.
Because the perfume is travel-sized, she carries it with her everywhere, and she's gotten compliments on it more than once. She's already planning to order more before Diwali this year, so she can keep that little piece of home close.
What stayed with us the most was how she put it, home away from home. At Aromafume, we've always thought of our customers as family, so hearing that our perfume could carry someone's memories across the world with them meant everything. It's a reminder of why we make what we make, one small, natural, alcohol-free bottle at a time.
To Tanya, and to everyone who's found a little piece of home in our scents: thank you for sharing your story with us.

Hi, I'm Rebecca, and I'm back with another story from our customer care line, one that reminded all of us here just how deeply a scent can hold a memory.
This call was from Mark, who reached out after ordering one of our anointing oils.
He opened up by telling us how the oil reminded him of his grandmother, she used to anoint him with oil growing up, a quiet little blessing ritual that was just theirs. He described it simply: a small dab warmed between her palms, then pressed gently to his forehead, his wrists, sometimes the back of his neck, always with a few words of blessing before he headed out the door for the day.
As he talked, his voice softened. He told us his grandmother passed away a few years ago, and that he misses her more than words can really capture. But he said that using our anointing oil, the scent, the ritual of applying it the way she used to, has helped him feel closer to her again. Like a small piece of her is still with him every morning.
We didn't have much to say back except thank you, Mark for trusting us with something so personal, and for letting a small bottle of oil carry something so big.
At Aromafume, we make our products hoping they'll become part of people's everyday lives. We never expected they might also become a way to hold onto someone we love, even after they're gone. Mark, if you're reading this, thank you for showing us that.
